PENDAMPINGAN KARANG TARUNA DESA LEMPONG, KECAMATAN JENAWI, KARANGANYAR, JAWA TENGAH UNTUK PUBLIKASI POTENSI GUA TLORONG (JEJAK MANUSIA PURBA)

Abstract

Lempong Village, Jenawi District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, is located in the northwest of Mount Lawu. Most of the population has a profession related to farming. The type of soil that is less fertile (rainfed), greatly affects the lives of the residents, especially the economic problems. On the other hand, it turns out that Lempong Village has excellent potential that is rarely found in other places, namely the discovery of the Gamping Cave as a temporary residence for Ancient Humans. The locals know the cave as Tlorong Cave. The existence of Tlorong Cave and the traces of Ancient Man can certainly be studied from the archeology point of view. In addition, Tlorong Cave can also be studied with geological science. Not only superior from a scientific point of view, but Lempong Village also has beautiful natural scenery. This extraordinary potential must be properly known by the people of Lempong Village. Furthermore, the community is also expected to understand how to maintain, develop, and introduce it to the wider community. The purpose of this Community Service Programme  is to assist the Karang Taruna (Youth Organization) of Lempong Village. The goal is that Karang Taruna can understand, conserve and further introduce to the wider community about the potential of their area in an easy and interesting way. In order to realize this goal, it is necessary to documented the  potential in photos and videos and integrated with an augmented reality technology. Furthermore, with this augmented reality technology, people will get to know, learn, and enjoy the potential of Lempong Village.
