PENGARUH DEOXIDIZING AGENT PADA MATERIAL ADDITION LADLE FURNACE DI PT GUNUNG RAJA PAKSI, CIKARANG BARAT

Abstract


PT Gunung Raja Paksi bergerak dibidang industri peleburan dan penggilingan baja (Furnace &Steel Rolling), yang meliputi produksi Baja Batangan, Baja Lembaran dan Baja Gulungan yaitu Slab, Billet, Beam Blank, Bloom serta turunannya seperti Hot Rolled Plate & Coil serta turunannya, Baja Profil seperti Angle, WF, H-Beam dan turunannya. Dalam peleburan memiliki proses yaitu Primary Steelmaking (Peleburan), Secondary Steelmaking (Pemurnian), Casting (Pengecoran).Secondary Steelmaking adalah proses pemurnian baja cair yang dilakukan di Ladle Furnace (LF) untuk melayani dapur listrik proses dan menyediakan bahan baku baja cair ke mesin pengecoran kontinyu (CCM). Aktivitas utama di dalam ladle furnace adalah: mengatur temperatur baja cair yang akurat sebagai bahan baku untuk pengecoran. peningkatan kebersihan baja melalui deoksidasi dan desulfurisasi. homogenisasi temperatur dan komposisi kimia dengan menggunakan gas Argon; dan menambahkan alloy untuk mendapatkan spesifikasi yang diinginkan. Material addition pada alumunium killed steel adalah alumunium ingot, alumunium wire, alumunium mix, CaSi wire, CaO, CaF2, carbon riser/calcined petroleum coke, FeSi, SiMn dengan metode casting berupa close casting. Sedangkan material addition pada silicon killed steel adalah serbuk FeSi, SiMn, CaO, CaF2, carbon riser/calcined petroleum coke, dengan metode casting berupa open casting.
