Eksergi is published by Chemical Engineering Program Study, Faculty of Industrial Engineering, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta. Eksergi has p-ISSN 1410-394X and e-ISSN 2460-8203. As of 2022, it publishes articles three times a year. Eksergi is indexed in numerous prestigious platforms, including Sinta, Index Copernicus, Dimensions, Researchgate, WorldCat, Google Scholar, BASE, Harvard Library, Sherpa Romeo, Researchbib, Portal Garuda DIKTI, EZB, and J-Gate.

The journal accepts manuscripts in the field of Chemical Engineering, covering topics such as separation in Chemical Engineering, Energy and Renewable or Sustainable Energy, Process and Production of Chemical Engineering, Nanomaterial Particle, Chemical Engineering Design and Process Control, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage, Waste and Wastewater Treatment, Bioprocess related to Food Security, Fine Chemicals, and Renewable Energy, and Life Cycle Assessment.

All submitted articles undergo a peer-review process, and the journal considers various types of papers for publication, including original articles in basic and applied research, case studies, and critical reviews.

Eksergi follows a "publish-as-you-go" procedure, where manuscript titles that have been reviewed and accepted are first published online with an "ONLINE FIRST" status. The full issue, including the galley articles, is published once it reaches its intended publication schedule. The submission deadline is 3 months before the publication date, and the Article Processing Charge (APC) is free of charge for submissions; charges may apply if the manuscript is accepted for publication. For international authors with affiliations outside Indonesia, the APC is free of charge.

The timeline for publication includes a time to first decision of 1 week, a review time of 40-60 days, and a submission to acceptance period of 30-80 days.
